They are different forms of the same medium, so you're right--those are not the best examples. I was thinking of one being perceived as more limited than the other. Those limitations can be a virtue, though. You don't measure the effectiveness of art by the flexibility of the chosen artistic medium. You judge art by how well it communicates to others within the confines of the chosen medium.
