There was a lot more in that post. And a much more important question posed in the last paragraph: why the need to 'dismiss' any artform at all and close your brain off from future unique experiences you can't possibly predict how you might react to? Why the need to make it about being conclusively 'better' or 'worse'? Why make a hierarchy of mediums, when you can take elements from any age-old or brand-new medium you want to tell a great story? Why draw subjective lines in the sand and grid the formats up, especially formats that don't fit in to easy definitions like comics and graphic novels? Why not gobble up any story or experience that might appeal or enlighten you, no matter what material it's made of or how its presented?
