So if the game never had weapon swapping then you wouldn't have missed it?
Would you do it if it was as simple as saying, "you with the rocket launcher take the passenger seat"? Would that ability spoil the game for you? Be too tempting?
: For all the complaining people do about how easy even Legendary is, you'd
: think more people would eschew aids like NPCs with unlimited power ammo.

I just can't help myself. It's almost impossible for me NOT to give Buck and Dare those FRGs. Truth be told I could stand off to the side at the end of ODST and watch Buck and Dare lay waste to all those attackers. But I like to contribute and speed up the process with sniper fire. I've broken the encounter but can't stop myself from breaking it.
If Halo 5 had squad commands would you use them?
When Halo Wars was new I wondered what it would be like to play an RTS where you could leap into a body during the game and start FPsing for a while, perhaps to turn a battle. You give up micromanaging the squads and macromanaging the economy in order to concentrate on a small portion of the war. Is that picomanaging?
That might be cool, an RTS with full blown Halo 4 graphics. If you had control of both sides then you could set up encounters in god mode then jump in to turn the tide against a superior force.
Or imagine theatre mode where you can leap in at any point and the game adapts and plays differently from that point.
If you jump in in FPS mode then your god mode, economic, decisions would continue but one battle could play out differently because you are in the thick of it. Or you could make god mode changes whilst the unit that you previously played as continues your actions from the last playthrough until something breaks and the game has to take over control of it.
I wonder what that would be like.
