Connacht didn't end the Wolf Age, he began it (and ended the Wind Age in the process). Even Myth 3 agrees on that. In fact Myth 3 is the only place that explicitly states that Connacht began it, but it's definitely the most recent age and not from before Connacht's time over a thousand years ago, viz: "One hundred ten years ago, during the Wolf Age, Muirthemne was sacked, burned and all but buried under a mountain of rock and sand by Balor and the Fallen Lords." -Myth II, Level 16, The Ibis Crown.
The evidence suggests that the Age of Reason, which Tireces began, was the beginning of the third era or Wind Age, just as the Age of Light, which Connacht began, was the beginning of the fourth era or Wolf Age. (The two preceding eras being most likely the Axe Age and Sword Age respectively, if Voluspa is to be believed). We know of two Hero-Leveller pairs for those two era: Tireces-Moagim in the Wind Age and Connacht-Balor in the Wolf Age. There's no room for another Leveller in there; so if Mjarin existed at all (and there's no authoritative source saying he did), then he was not the Leveller.
