In Response To: Re: The Leveller, Mjarin, Myth III e.t.c. (Denorius)

: I ment this: "And so Tireces returned as Moagim to
: end the Age of Reason - and Connacht, the great hero
: of the Wind Age, returned as Balor to lay waste to the
: greatest empire the world had ever known." - Myth
: II Epilogue

: "Connacht was the great hero of the Wind Age, who
: drove the evil Moagim from the earth, and The Head
: claims to have been one of Connacht’s closest advisors
: during this time." Myth I Mission 10 Out of the
: Barrier

: These two statements kinda contradict themselves.

I don't see what contradiction you're seeing there.

: So Tireces begun the Age of Reason by killing the Leveler
: of his time. A thousand years later the age of Reason
: was ended by Moagim who started the Wind Age.

It doesn't say that Moagim started the Wind Age, or that the Age of Reason was a thousand years long. If you read the link in my previous post, you'll see it's likely that the "Age of Reason" and "Age of Light" are shorter ages within the longer periods of the Wind Age and the Wolf Age; either that, or I suppose, Reason/Light are the light periods and Wind/Wolf are the dark, but that would contradict Connacht ushering in the Wolf Age. (Which, now that I think about it, nothing but Myth 3 ever claims; the only thing Bungie ever wrote about the Wolf Age is that that was when Balor sacked Muirthemne, and that Myrdred had been an avatara then).

: Yet Myth I claims that Connacht defeated Moagim in the
: Wind age thus starting the Wolf Age.

: The same Leveler two times?

: It may not be a contradiction but here Bungie was really
: not as its best.

: Should each Age not have an own Leveler?

: Age of Reason= Moagim
: Wind Age= Moagim again?
: Wolf Age= Balor

: Doesnt thius make more sence?

: Age of Reason= Moagim
: Wind Age= Mjarin
: Wolf Age= Balor

Two thousand years ago, Tireces defeated the Leveller, ushering in an age called the Age of Reason.

By a thousand years later, in a time which was then called the Wind Age, Tireces had become the Leveller Moagim and had brought the world nearly to ruin, until he was defeated by Connacht, who ushered an age called the Age of Light.

By a thousand years later, in a time which was then called the Wolf Age, Connacht had become the Leveller Moagim and had brought the world nearly to ruin, until he was defeated by Alric.

Where in there is there room for Mjarin?

I think the problem is that you're thinking there's a thousand years of light, then a Leveller, then a thousand years of dark, then a Leveller, then a thousand years of light, etc. That's mistaken; there's a Leveller every thousand years, who comes to ruin what he had created when he defeated the previous Leveller a thousand years prior. So each era begins light and turns to dark by the end. There's never a thousand years of solid darkness or a thousand years of solid light; there's a thousand year cycle from light to dark and back.
