And again, see, I saw that entirely differently. Instead of gawking at the behaviour thinking there's no basis for it, I see it as a mystery, presuming there is a reason. That's the work of a teaser to me :) If Chief wouldn't have 'wistfully gazed' or looked at the chip after the entity showed up, then... why did he? Juicy mystery, IMO. :P
