: As I said in another comment, my first thoughts are he's working his way to a
: set of coordinates to meet with this forerunner entity, and/or get its
: attention. He's definitely on his own, and the rogue journey context jives

: decent to pristine condition, but it doesn't look all that good at the

Okay, I'll grant that I had not thought about the possibility that the forerunner entity might not be an enemy. Even if that's the case, though, it still seems a bit theatrical for him to, at this moment, pull out the keychain and have a reflective moment, which is what it seems to be.
Teasers often don't up in the game, and that's okay. I'm sure 343 will entice me with Halo 5 content. This didn't do it, though.
