: I understand they wanted to tease us, but that's all this is. The elements
: all serve the effect of "surprising" us, without serving
: anything else, like realism. This teaser does nothing for me. It's the
: first Halo promo I've disliked.
: The cloak feels like a cheap trick by the end. I don't buy the sand in cracks
: argument. The guy's wearing a space suit. He can ride a bomb through the
: vacuum of space. He's got a shield powered by alien technology. He can
: survive a fall from the atmosphere, but the desert presents a problem?
: And hey, a giant Forerunner just exploded out of the ground in front of me,
: so let me stare pensively at my empty USB drive.

As I said in another comment, my first thoughts are he's working his way to a set of coordinates to meet with this forerunner entity, and/or get its attention. He's definitely on his own, and the rogue journey context jives with me. And the sand in cracks - I'd agree with you were his armour in decent to pristine condition, but it doesn't look all that good at the moment.
For me, this demo wasn't an announcement or game teaser, only a Halo-franchise-on-XBO tease.
: I'm disappointed.
I liked it. Not because Halo 5, but because Halo :)
