Seems to be the consensus in responses to doubters on Kotaku :P

Plus, there's no time context. "Wasn't he just on Earth?" Well yeah, but who knows where or when he is in just this little clip? No story context... all we know is that he's walking, perhaps searching, or bearing down on coordinates, and finds another Forerunner entity/machine.

To think that he's there without Cortana - imagine what he's feeling through that journey?

Still gives me shivers.
