I have noticed that after playing COD for more than a few matches, Halo seems kind of choppy, and it takes me a while for me to perceive its 30 fps as smooth. This doesn't happen when playing third-person games that run at 60 fps (Bayonetta, Mario Galaxy), though. But even when playing a 60 fps shooter for prolonged periods of time (which is not very often), they still seem unnaturally smooth. Maybe that'll all change for next-gen since every game is apparently going to run at 60 fps and thus I'll have to get used to it.

Doesn't real life update at something like 1.855 × 1043 frames per second?
