: I guess since you're enjoying the story, that's great. For me, it just keeps

I think that's a valid point and fear. I agree with you to some extent, although I don't think it's going to be happening soon. As long as they're coming out with quality stories, people will keep enjoying them, whether it starts to get overwhelming or not. And I'm with you, I'm still in the process of getting my fill of Anniversary, I feel like I'm playing Halo games slower than they're making them (or at least I can't feel satisfied with my time spent on one before the next is already coming out).
To me, I think the saving grace of this series is going to be its continued growth into other mediums. My fingers are seriously crossed for the television show, because if that takes off and Halo finds its way into "mainstream" media outlets, any energy that dies out on the gaming end can easily transfer over to their and keep the series/universe going longer.
And as far as the books go, I think Silentium was about as strong as they've ever been. This is the best time for Halo EU in some ways, and I don't think the books will ever stop being the quality experience that they are, as long as they continue to explore new authors but keep each one grounded in a single continuity (no stuff similar to Cole Protocol anymore, thanks).
