It seems the same now as it did before, and I still agree with everything you said, except for your interpretation of why people who claim to support equality want to give unequal help and support to various groups, and part of your note on political correctness. (I agree people can go overboard with it, and doing a math problem to determine if it's fair for a set of characters and plot points to exist seems like it's missing the boat, but some of what's grouped under "political correctness" is warranted and some of it is just politeness with a different name). I think you plainly stated most of your points at, well at one point or another (i.e. no side of this debate is blameless).
I am unsure now, though, why you thought you might lose friends or respect with that post. Is it because of... I guess I'd call it "Grizzlei's side", because I don't really know who else you were aiming at... is it because you said they're not blameless, or maybe the amount that you said about it?

(For the record, I would rather be talking about Halo on this Halo board, for the most part; I don't want to make communication harder, but I think this is a very important conversation to have in a lot of ways.)
