That 'patriarchy' characterization is as much of a gross generalization as what Grizzlei said about heterophobia. Feminism has combined forces with a bunch of other ideologies into something called intersectionalism. It's not the 'patriarchy' so much as it's people with privilege oppressing people without privilege. Yes, this ideology is being used to justify some horrible things. In some ways, it reminds me of revolutionaries after the revolution is over. The big fight is over, and there are many injustices yet correct, but the revolutionaries insist on going after it with guillotines and artillery when court cases and public speeches will do the job.

That specific attitude needs to be fought, but drive-by snarking and dismissal without engaging the opposition's points accomplishes nothing. So, what you have been saying in this thread is worse than useless: it's just baiting the trolls. If that's all you care to contribute, please leave the conversation.
