: I really wished they had made Six Halo's first character who didn't
: identify and wasn't known strictly as either a man or a woman and instead
: didn't adhere to one gender over another. Kinda makes those whose Six was
: a woman feel like their story in Reach wasn't as important in the long
: run. Not giving Six a binary gender could have made everyone happy and
: left their gender ambiguous to allow for a true reflection of the player
: in a character.
Okay, seriously, how come nobody mentions this?
Noble Six's/Spartan-B312's gender never was ambiguous! Ever since the Release of Halo Reach, Noble Six was, canonically, identified as being male.
How? Why? Because in Halsey's Journal, which comes with the limited/legendary edition of the game there was a PHOTO of Noble Six! Meaning we got to see his armor in full detail, so we know which armor parts he used, which color he preferred and - by examining the physique - which gender he was. FYI, Noble Six is a male Spartan-III that uses the normal, non-altered, grey, standard-armor.
It's your (and everybody elses) prerogative to change this appearance within your personal headcanon... In fact, I myself am using a female Spartan with cyan armor and a robot arm, not unlike Kat's design. But de facto the matter remains that ever since the day that Reach was released, from a LORE standpoint, Spartan-B312 was male, and this entire discussion is based on a false premise.
