Halo1 Ending: Epic chase through a ship and trying to beat the clock
Halo2 Ending: Senu epic fight against Tartaus with AI companions and AI enemies (thank you for not including Drones in this section, Bungie)
Halo3 Ending: players demanded it so Bungie created a new and epic Warthog race to the end.
Halo Reach Ending: Epic gun fight to defend the POA. And as if that wasn't enough, a additional (but fruitless) epuc shootout was added to bring closure for the players.
Then there's Halo 4 & 5. We are presented with great threats not allowed to fight them at all? We're not even granted a Epic run scene. Instead we are told to slowly get from point A to point B with ZERO interaction with the villain.
Now to the boss fights. In Halo 1-4 tge boss fights (what there were) dudnt feel like boss fight. Instead, they simply felt like obsticals on our journey. Except for Tartaus. Halo5 was completely different. The boss fights were clearly boss fights. But the sad part is that they were ALL THE SAME BOSS FIGHT. I've lost count, but it was 7-8 times that we had to fight this fool. And he's not even difficult to take out. The Promethian Knights and Soldiers are more of a challenge then the actual boss.
And finally, gameplay. The gameplay was fine this time around. Short but fine. My only real complaint is that 343 kept claiming they were going to bring back the feel of Halo1 and 2. But 343i missed the biggest thing about Halo1 & 2, that made it fun. FREEDOM!! The games were open to exploration. No kill zones and background terrain that we could explore. Sometimes ut required the player to "break the map" to do this. But once done, we were free to explore it. Be it fully textured or not. Halo 5, like H4, is filled with un-needed kill zones. Which is a real shame with the clamber mechanic. We know it's a game. Why limit player exploration? Don't make it easy, but allow it.
PS: PLEASE fix WarZone so that the player/team that gets the most hits, on a A.I., gets the kill. NOT the player/team that shows up late and literally gets the last killing hit!!
