I'm a 43 year old man. A decade ago my close friends scattered about California and I spent hours upon hours playing Halo over xbconnect. We had to conference call each other via mobile phones to communicate. Just getting everyone up and running on xbconnect and forwarding ports was an achievement unto itself. We did that though because the game was worth it.

Halo 2 came out and Xbox live changed everything. Now we just fired up the consoles and played away. We were younger without family responsibilities and time was less important to spend a couple hours in the evening on Ivory Tower, Lock Out, Midship, etc. It took some months for me to accept Halo 2 was not Halo but ultimately it *was* a fun game.

Fast forward a decade and life is much different. Spare time is precious and I'm glad the decision has been made to go back to what I enjoyed so much, on the maps that helped create those memories. This is what is going to drive me to spend money on an Xbox One console. Not a Halo 5 with even more enhanced perks like scan for enemies while sprinting without tiring and having a camo colored BR with a knife on the side of it on Backwash 2.0.
