I fully agree with griefmop on the above. There are objective ways to examine the good or evil of someone. Objective is the very key word here. Hitler thought that all the Jews and Gypsies etc. were evil subjectively.

Objectively, he was wrong.
Objectively, his actions were evil.
Objectively, it is totally acceptable to defend yourself from such evils, totally acceptable to take actions to ensure that they don't come again, so long as you don't employ tactics which are objectively evil.
