My problem with it is that every encounter is laid our the same, with a center and upper routes on the left and right with the same configuration of enemies. And now since the player is so much more powerful than before, it upsets just how dangerous each enemy is. Jackals are a good example. The shield use to protect them from your gunfire and force you to stay back.. now you can thruster, ground pound, spartan charge, and sprint as tools against them. All they receive in return is higher damage.
