I've always been something of a lone wolf player, preferring my own tv and space even in the LAN days, so lack of split-screen was more of a footnote to me than anything, but I've had many people tell me that they will not be getting Halo 5 because of no split-screen. I'm not even gonna begin to pretend I understand the technical details that led to it being cut, but I certainly underestimated how much of a huge deal it was for folks, and think 343 might have underestimated it too.
