Another possible work-around was to stream to Twitch while you played.

I tried it last night after Customs Night when we jumped to H5 for matchmaking and only experienced a few minutes of lag and not in every match. I'd also heard that Arris Routers can have some issues but MS and TWC insist that you shouldn't need to change routers and that it's something with 343i's servers.
