It doesn't mean that, you assume it means that. It could just mean that you, the owner, could always revoke the share from your friend, or that you always had priority playing rights. Your friend could just get booted while you were playing. In which case it would be better than real-life sharing (your friend can't promise to bring it back and "forget" for a year).
