: This whole shared library completely went against everything Microsoft seemed
: to be doing in regards to used games. What was the point in being able to
: share a game with someone ONE TIME, when an option to share a game
: indefinitely with up to 10 friends was going to be possible? Why set up
: the used game restrictions, when something this incredible was also going
: to be possible on the same box. It doesn't make any sense to me. That's
: why a demo mode sounded more plausible to people. It let people share the
: game, but then gave an incentive to buy the game after the demo ended. The
: whole "You can only sell a game to a person 1 time" completely
: went against that. Why sell someone a game when they can play it
: indefinitely for free? That's what I'm still not understanding, and these
: tweets aren't doing much to help.
You can't play it indefinitely for free. If, say, Jeff shares Game X with you and me, I can play it when you're not playing it. I can't play it if you ARE playing with it.
If Jeff GIVES me (or sells me) Game X, I can play it whenever I want.
