And in the future, if it had proven a feature like this was definitely happening, nothing is stopping them from taking it away as soon as the publishers start complaining (and we all know that would happen. That would be 9-10 lost sales for them, something I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about) Another great example is that fact that the ps3 sort of does something like this now and you used to be able to do it across 5 different systems. My understanding is the publishers didn't like it so now it's down to 2 systems; the owner of the content and one other that his/her account is on.
In the end it seemed like it may have been a minor concept that they kind talked about and the crowd took it and ran with it, changing it into this grandiose idea that I just couldn't see happening. I think what we have now (a DRM free system) is a much better thing and nothing is stopping them from implementing these features (or something similar) in the future. I mean look how much the 360 has changed from it's launch in 2005 to present day thanks to updating.
