I have a little scenario for you to think over.

Let's pretend that Bungie existed on their own and that they were going to write Myth III but for some unfantomable reason all the people that worked on Myth I and II in Bungie quits. The new recruits speak with the old people and learns a few things about what they would have done with the story.

Do you really think that this Myth III would be less canon only because those new people hadn't thought up the story themself? Or are you saying that just because they work for Bungie, it's canon, but MJ:s new story isn't canon, because they aren't Bungie.

In either case, you don't make sense.
