I think I will hold off until I see the reviews. My PS3 is rather loud these days. I took the vacuum cleaner to the vents, maybe it's just getting old. maybe I should open the case and see if a family of dust bunnies is living in there.

Halo 4 started well - that opening cutscene. And I was far more interested in getting back to earth to help Cortana than I ever was in the mustache twirling evil dude plot. But 343i had polar opposite priorities. And I suppose that they wanted the payoff of her death at the end so any attempt to help her would have been doomed.

I'm worried that Halsey's revenge was mean to be taken literally and wasn't just for Jul's consumption.

I'd like a meaty story. The human government is broken, somewhat threatening. The Chief was part of a program whose intent was to put down the innies. That program was sidelined by the Covenant but has become relevant again. So all those postponed tensions could come back into relevance. Where would the Chief fit into all that?

I have no interest in the Didact or the mantle. I'd be quite happy if he was shredded passing through that vortex and Jul knew but didn't let on to his minions. He could be Truth mkII.

As for the Librarian's plans...? Save them for Halo 6. Maybe the Chief could grow up in Halo 5 and tell her where to go in Halo 6.
