Jim Sterling provides his always brilliant take on the XBO
Indie Devs Can't Self-Publish on Xbox One
The XBO debut was an unimpressive debacle. The response I've seen has been mostly negative, and I can't say I'm surprised after Tuesday's "TV, TV, Sports, TV, COD" dog and pony fish show. They can still salvage the situation by clarifying all the unanswered questions (esp. those regarding internet requirements and used games) and by showing an impressive lineup of exclusive games, but honestly, I'm not holding my breath. I guess we'll find out for sure in less than three weeks whether or not it's worth being an early adopter (or an adopter at all) of the XBO.
