Not only does JIP always put me on the losing side, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that, nine times out of ten, I'll be stuck on the team who has less points than the other side needs to win. There is nothing more frustrating than being dropped into a game of CTF or KOTH or Grifball and finding yourself on the wrong end of a curbstomping.

I can count on one hand the number of times my immediate intervention has resulted in a turn-around win. Exactly thrice. (I know because I saved the films.) That meager satisfaction does not make up for the dozens of games where I joined, 100 points down with 30 seconds on the clock.

I will never not want to just start a fresh game, even if that means waiting longer to queue up players. Especially when the alternative is getting spawn-camped and humiliated by pro-wannabe dudebros who just want to pad their K/D. JIP should be opt-in, no excuses.
