: The point is tgat they need to STOP remaking maps that have ALREADY been
: remade or easily Forged to death.
: These newly remade maps (that have been confirmed) are ALSO going to be
: available in the MC Collection in their previous formats. However, they
: are going to be there 3+ TIMES! In 3 Or More Versions! Tgere is absolutely
: No Reasonable Reason to Remake these maps.
But therein lies the issue. Not many people would want to have one of the recreated maps be Backwash. Has it been recreated before? Nope. Does that then make it better than a map that has been recreated for another game? Not necessarily.
The whole point of the recreated maps in the new engine is to capture what made Halo 2 great and update it for the new generation. They have to choose maps that defined Halo 2. Sure Halo 3 had some remakes of Halo 2 maps, but there is a reason for that. Those maps were incredible and were loved by fans. And you can't honestly say that Blackout is a worthy successor to Lockout. Each game has a different set of rules that it operates under. The jumps are different, weapons are different, and rules are different. Blackout might have "tried" to be Lockout, but it failed miserably in my opinion. The layout was similar, but it didn't feel the same. This is there chance to take a map like lockout and make a beautiful recreation of it using Halo 2 rules and sandbox.
Just because a map has been recreated many times doesn't mean that it should be excluded from this list. Maps that were hated do not make it to the next game, and maps that people barely like are not going to be recreated. They are choosing the most popular maps of the game.
