H2V was a flop because it required Vista+ to run (even though it could run on XP, after the windows version checks were removed), along with G4WL. The latter of which was apparently part or of the main reason the editing kit was so limited (due to content restrictions on XBL). Dedicated servers also required their own fucking CD key to operate.

No, the PC community doesn't "notoriously hate" Halo. What we hate is when people who don't give a fuck about PC gaming have the final say in the development of PC games like H2V.
