That said, I did like the final QTE of hitting the nuke, though I think that has more to do with the very brief, but satisfying semi-meta line of though that it caused in me. Something along the lines of: "Oh crap… really? Uh… Yes really, no alternative is presenting itself… Ok then! Bye Chief! :'-("

It would have been more impactful if setting off a nuke a few inches in front of the Chief's face would have actually killed him though instead of the "oh look, barely explained hard light saves the day with barely any explanation!" that we got.
