: Well, they did give Wu an award, but they didn't do anything else like that
: that I'm aware of, except for inviting people to test their gameplay
: tweaks.

No disrespect to the gamers that tested the TU, but I don't all that inviting the Halo community. Before everyone gets in a uproar about that statement, hear me out.

True, gamers like Greenskull and others are a part of the Halo community. However, they are popular members that spend a LOT of their time playing the game and are very skilled with most if not all of the weapons. H.B.O. member Gravemind is also a VERY skilled Halo player. But he wasn't invited. Why not? He's clearly made his voice heard. 343i/MS seem to always focus on MLG players. Players that always play differently then the average Halo gamer. Most Halo gamers play alone when they enter Matchmaking and are joined with strangers. Not because we want to, but because most players don't have the time to set more then a few hours aside each week to play. But we are still diehard Halo fans/vets. And we clearly express our problems with the game. Most Halo Players don't get paid to play the game. Most players don't have the money/time to invest in recording footage. Most players can't attend conferences. Most players can't setup interviews with the developers.

I'm happy for Greenskull and the others and wish them well and future success. But I (personally) don't see them as the "average" Halo player. I simply see them as professional players with a audience and a means to share their voice outside of a forum. I guess in the end that's all 343i/MS cares about. Using these pro players as a means to get free advertisement. Nothing more.

The Carbine is going from a 8shot kill to a 7 shot kill? Big Freakin Do. It's still going to take forever to get a kill against a DMR/BR user. And that's provided the average gamer can target the others' head. The BR is a 4 shot now? Great. You've brought back the problem we had with it before. Leave it be. It's already powerful enough. Sounds like it's becoming the DMR but with more shots per pull of the trigger. The DMR has a shorter Red Reticle range? So? That means nothing if it still shoots across the map! Rifles SHOULD NOT be a portable Sniper Rifle with larger Magazines! I do like the AR updates I've heard however. I hope they work well.

They need to lessen ALL weapons' effect on vehicles. The Plasma Pistol's effect should be set to that of the Wheelman perk setting. And the Perk should be changed to take ZERO EMP damage. Does that beef up vehicle use? Yes. Does that make them harder to stop? Yes. But with all of the power weapons and plasma Grenades on the maps, in PODs, and PLOs it should balance things out for drivers/gunners. The PLOs have become the new Armor Lock.

Sorry if I offended MLG/Pro players. Not my intentions, just expressing my view of the matter.
343i and MS NEED to change their motives and focus on the community as they should. They may have funded and developed the games but it's US that purchase and play them. Halo4 has been out only 7 months and their player base has dropped to half or lower already. How are they so blind to the issues? Oh yeah. They're Not Listening!!!

Rant done.
Gotta go to bed.
