Re: Wow, slow forum lately.
: This could be a good point if it weren't for the fact that, arguably, Halo 4
: did not possess an excellent story. Full of trite dialogue, poorly
: executed cliches, and forgettable or down-right loathsome characters, it
: was one of the poorest sci-fi stories I've ever encountered (And I've
: suffered some TERRIBLE sci-fi). Not even mentioning that if I wanted full,
: comprehensible context (relatively so), I had to: Read at least two
: expanded universe books, find all the terminals, exit Halo 4, load up Halo
: Waypoint, watch terminals and cross reference the events they detailed
: with what I learned reading the EU books, load up Halo 4 and continue
: playing the game. All of that to simply have a basis with which to build
: an understanding of the games so called "story".
Lol. It's so ironic that the player is trusted to do that, but they aren't trusted to know what the Chief is thinking at the end without having him talk to himself.
CORTANA. SHE. SAID THAT ONCE. ABOUT BEING A MACHINE.
