This could be a good point if it weren't for the fact that, arguably, Halo 4 did not possess an excellent story. Full of trite dialogue, poorly executed cliches, and forgettable or down-right loathsome characters, it was one of the poorest sci-fi stories I've ever encountered (And I've suffered some TERRIBLE sci-fi). Not even mentioning that if I wanted full, comprehensible context (relatively so), I had to: Read at least two expanded universe books, find all the terminals, exit Halo 4, load up Halo Waypoint, watch terminals and cross reference the events they detailed with what I learned reading the EU books, load up Halo 4 and continue playing the game. All of that to simply have a basis with which to build an understanding of the games so called "story".
The purported excellence of H4s story has to date eluded me. Though I do remember a plot that was as rich as spoilt milk, memorable in that, try as I might, I cannot forget it. Suffice to say that I believe staffing your team with people that, for whatever reasons, hate Halo wasn't the best idea for developing Halo games. My opinion.
