I don't think that they can be fixed

Yes they can improve hit registering but what can they do about their personalities?

According to the fiction they are 'enslaved' devolved humans stolen via the Composer about 100,000 years ago. What on earth will their personalities be like? Will they mooch about like head-crab zombies? Where is the fun in fighting composed former humans?
