: The more I hear about Halo 4, the more I see the parallels to Halo 2-- the
: engine limitations, the grand story hampered by its implementation, and
: now the issue of "vision". Bungie's fundamental flaw with Halo 2
: was they tasted huge success and naturally wanted to build on that, but
: their process was essentially to try and do that the same way they'd
: always made games, and that didn't work.
I'd say it worked fine, as far as the end product, they just didn't quite have the right scale or scope, so stuff had to be cut, and some of what made it in was necessarily unpolished.
