That's what I was talking about, but I don't necessarily take issue with it. The g forces involved in that amount of mass (several tons, I'm guessing) going fast enough to glow coming to a dead stop are absolutely ridiculous, but then the Chief and his armor are somewhat ridiculous. I think "hard light" is more ridiculous than anything else in the games up to now, and I might say the same about this phasing thing if I'd heard of it before and understood it, but I got an impression that Avateur thought this was one of the first times he'd done or been through anything ridiculous that should be lethal. Halo 3 isn't the beginning of it either, what about giving the Covenant back their bomb, and flying like a brick afterwards? I don't think that should excuse the ending of Halo 4, but I don't think it's bad for the reasons he thinks it's bad.
