Sorry but I don't agree, Halo's weapons have a sci-fi uniqueness to them something that still shows they are futuristic but our their own thing. but now it seems 343i is very keen on the idea of adapting modern weaponry and saying its our classic weapons of 'ole it started with the sfx replacement and now its moving on to the weapon's looks.

If I wanted to play a generic war shooter with modern looking weapons I'd go play COD or Crysis, I don't give 2 damns if its the great great great grandson of some weapon they use today it doesn't need to be shoved in our face like that.

And I know I'm not alone in feeling like this, NeoGAF hates the look and the Halo forums aren't too keen on the look as well, so you may be in the minority here Grizzlei.
