That is the magic thing, though the industry is very much settling into a typical media industry, it still has some agility to it. Whenever things get too stale or bad, people seek out the interesting things. That's what birthed the indie genre, and subsequently brought it into the forefront, which delegitimized it as "indie". Stuff is always going on and changing, and that needs to keep happening.
