The Great War was relatively straightforward as the good guys were clear cut and so were the baddies. We couldn't be any farther from that. Half the time, I find myself unable to decide who I should cheer for. Should I put my pompoms in the air for Earth's reconstruction and ascendancy to dominance, or the colonists who have not soon forgot the injustices that have yet to be remedied?

I never had to ask questions or have moral debates with myself when armies and fleets were battling each other. Now I am, and I couldn't be happier for it!

343i shouldn't abandon the pre-war and wartime era at all, however. There are still great stories left to tell that we can't even imagine. With this emphasis on rebellion in 343i's fiction, I think we'll be seeing a lot of material set in the years prior to 2525. I'd love to see them go all the way to the beginning of it all with the colonization of Luna and Mars in the 21st century.
