Strongside was the ONLY pro gamer in the top 10 finishers - if it was just that pro gamers had more time to play Halo, that group should have been ALL pros.
Yeah, Strongside is better than the people he played against. But he was the only pro who put in the time needed to win that competition - and let's be honest, a LOT of time was needed.
A Forge competition would have 1) been unfair to people who've spent more time getting good with Forge, and 2) been much, much harder to judge.
Contests of skill will ALWAYS be skewed towards those who start with higher relevant skills than those who don't. I don't really see the problem here; if Strongside hadn't decided to put his life on hold for the duration of this contest, it would have been won by someone ELSE who decided to put their life on hold for the duration of this contest. I couldn't put MY life on hold for that time period, so I had no chance of winning - that's just the way it went.
