I hardly mean to come off as a blood-thirsty game player. I found the exploding badguys in Myth II funny-Mortal Combat sucked, obviously. But in a game where you shoot people, and use melee combat-it seems logical to have something more then a particle effect (though the particle effects look great). Like I said above the blood in the shots I saw, was just too much. I never said I want to see hundreds of people with guts and blood squirting-that was an interpretation on your part. In games like, Deus Ex-blood comes in handy, you injure someone and you can follow the blood trail to them. In some ways blood helps the game-im not saying pour gallons of blood on everything so it's a blood-bath, im saying have blood as another way of seeing injury, or even find an injured badguy. >Pathetic.

Hmmm thats a bit of a stretch-I don't recall EVER or reading someone saying that, some not myself have said: "ONI WILL SUCK WITHOUT BLOOD" I said that an aspect of realism, not to mention of the genre of anime is lost without blood, go watch some anime, and see for yourself. (I am very much an otaku, and nearly all animes have blood in some form), I am not going to be a brat and not buy the game because of blood, no I want to buy it because the plot is interesting, the graphics are amazing-and the game genuinly looks fun, however I do think blood helps add realism-when not used to excess (Quakes, Mortal Combats). Give ME a break, I said no such thing and in reading most of the other postings I see NO one saying that statement. It seems to me you have issues with repressed anger, or your just pissy and judgemental everyday I don't know-But don't turn a debate into a personal attack, or a showcase for immaturity. Most people play many different kinds of games, and SOME of those games are not going to have blood. However FPS, and 3rd-person combat games DO. That is my statement, playing Alpha Centauri, there is no blood-but it's still a great game, I don't know where you come up with this need for blood. A need for blood is based on the type of game that it is. And that is my opinion, I would love to discuss it with people if that can be done with civility and respect. (Ninj-I am not just talking about you, but others on this bboard) | |
