I agree, there is a threshold for violence, their needs to be a certain amount (I believe, but not a lot). I also hate to say it but I am in agreement that the lack of blood really does kill Oni. This was a ground-braking new game, that was to create a whole new genre-3d combat shooter etc etc. The game is based on anime? Have people seen anime, it is quite possibly the most violent thing I have ever seen. Now I will say only some are very bloody and violent, but the ones that are, VERY MUCH ARE! Taking out the blood-and not allowing an option for it, that really makes the game much less appealing. I love anime, but blood allows realism-im not saying absurd amounts of violence, but when you shoot someone there should be blood not just a body falling limply to the ground! People who find violence in games so offensive are the same people, commanding troops into countries to slaughter people, they are the same people who feel they have the right to choose whether people live or die. I am sorry, all those people on our government are nothing more then hypocrits. They talk about how violence is 'destroying our society' meanwhile proceed to kill people who make them feel 'unsafe' or that 'work against freedom' Freedom? What about freedom to live? I am not going to turn this into a political debate, but the blood, boils down to just hardcore politics, and the ignorance of those who do not understand computer games, and use the media-as an excuse for their own lack of gun controls, and there war that kills people in real life. The media is nothing more then a scapegoat, the media merely reflects what is popular to us! They are not setting trends, we are! We want violence, they give it to us, whether or not they do, we still want it! The whole arguement about 'media' causing kids to murder-no, no it's a society that has forgotten that children need to be seen as individuals, and treated as such. It is society that kills, the media just reflects what we want. Matt-
It really seems ever since the Microsoft Buyout, and TakeTwo getting rights to Oni, that Bungie has really been worrying those of us who stuck with Bungie and bought their games-now it appears politics are yet another thing that will kill the bungie that we know---Next goes the sardonic wit from our games-heck we've lost the violence, were headed back to pacman-whoops too violent, tic-tac-toe-and I hope I don't live to see creativity be so limited by the politics of a world that murders under the flag of legality, calling it 'war'.
