This should probably be emblazoned at the threshold of every fan community. I tend to dislike a lot of discussion about Halo 5's story because it inevitably turns from a criticism of what's presented to "well, if *I* were making the game..." rhapsodic retelling where of course it's great in your mind, because you haven't had to produce the damn thing.
I always bring up the prequels as a perfect example of how you can give an overview of anything and make it sound good. On paper I think the prequels would have been far superior to the original trilogy, dealing with actual moral shades of grey... and that's certainly not what we got in practice.
