Here we go again with another back & forth subthread. This'll be my last comment.

A) Original intent no longer has significance. 343 owns the franchise. It is their story. B) Cortana was certifiably not naked prior to Halo 2 (by H2A cinematics, and arguably by the tech-patterns' implication of clothing, especially the collar), she was arguably w/o (a thicker) bodysuit in Halo 3 (left to interpretation of tech-patterns), and was certainly all but naked in Halo 4. C) I have never said anything besides those points. This line of thought was brought on by one comment: "Cortana is naked." Strictly speaking, no, if only because her lady-parts are not depicted, but either covered by bodypaint (AI equivalent) or a bodysuit. The implication being she was always wearing some form of bodysuit, accenting her chosen, "idealized" female figure.

* Concave belly[button]. aka, indentation around the naval region. Most definitely something you would see on a slim, fit female figure wearing a skin-tight uniform over the midriff.
