The body armor limits the amount of emotion that can be conveyed to the player.

It's clear that 343's Halo is an entirely different beast from Bungie's Halo. The days of the Master Chief being presebted as a universally relatable silent protagonist are gone, I'm afraid, whether you like it or not. 343 has been moving toward defining Chief as an actual character, in-game, for some time now.

This thread isn't about whether you like that shift. It's about what 343 needs to do if they want that shift to actually work.

Others have commented on the sexism in your post, so I don't want to dwell on that too much, except to say that I disagree with you 100% about Samus. I mean, are you for real? Her gender is enough to turn you off to the character AND the entire franchise?! Man, that's just sad. I'm sorry, but it is.
