: All of the Storm's equipment is shiny, sparklely clean. I know that is a
: trait of the Covenant is the alien cleansed aesthetic, but I would've
: liked it better if they were dirty and ran like an old pickup, I'm not
: sure if it will run 100 miles or never start again.
: It's kinda like the Star Wars OT aesthetic on grimy, seen some shit
: technology. Though it would be annoying, I would love if you over took a
: Wraith or Ghost it would have a 5% chance of not starting and cued an
: animation of Chief punching the shit out of the engine.
What if they do still have a semblance of pride? Would they not individually still prefer to have a shiny, intimidating glare?
It would sort of bug me like in movies when people who are hurt and lightly bloodied or have a bloody nose leave red streaks there, visible, for a long long time and don't, you know, wipe it off. :P
Because movie!
Unless the 'ragged' covvies leave the dirt there, not caring about it, which I think I'd find hard to believe, I don't see why shiny armour is a problem for them. They might mark it up with symbols and personalization and whatnot (like recent Spartans did), but I'd think they'd still have some pride in their armours. At least that to me seems natural for Elites as a race, if not for other Covenant races...
With the end of the Covenant, did these Elites suddenly not care about their outward aesthetic? dunno if I'd buy that...
