When Halo 4 first came out, we were led to believe that Chief's armor was his redesigned Mk. VI. They later changed that to be a "firmware update" from Cortana, making his Mk. VI look like an old iteration of Mk. IV. Because… I dunno, rampancy (and it does look damn good).
But now, if Halo 2 Anniversary is coming out, they're going to be redesigning the Mk. VI for real. Who's working on it? How faithful are they going to be?
For that matter, which assets are they going to use for the rest of the game? I can imagine them using Halo 4, or even Halo 5 assets (since this will probably be releasing on Xbox One). Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was nice in that the Reach assets they used kind of helped to bridge the gap canonically? Will that not be the case with this one?
If the rumors are true, there's lots to look forward to seeing for the second time.
