I'm interested. I liked BioShock a lot, mostly because of the storytelling. BioShock 2 was ok, but the story wasn't as good. Infinite might be great - changing the setting gives them an opportunity to go somewhere new with the story.

I'm thinking your issue with the original BioShock was probably the game mechanics more than the story? If so, I dunno if it's going to be all that different combat-wise. But, who knows?

The skyhooks mechanic certainly gives some possibility for the levels to be more open than the previous two games, but it's hard to tell from what we've seen so far whether it actually allows free movement, or whether it's just an interesting animation masking the transition from one linear section to another.

Related: Somehow, I remained oblivious to the release date up until yesterday, so it's a nice surprise to suddenly find out it's this close.
