Okay, the embarrassing truth. I couldn't kill a Big Daddy. Got busy, didn't play anything for a few weeks, or some other game demanded my attention. By the time I went back I felt like I had lost the narrative thread, and I knew enough about what I liked about the game to know I needed to follow the story.
