Where did you find that out? I thought it was built on the previous Halo engine-- with a lot of modification and some upgrades, sure, but that's par for the course.
: Why are all the levels still the same? Why aren't we seeing Infinity / Evil /
: Tempus Irae style innovation in our levels? Add to the fact that many of
: the stages were deliberate throwbacks to previous games, the experience
: really was more of the same. That's not bad in and of itself, but…
I've seen this a few times and I don't get it, what levels or sections were like stuff from previous games? It's not a matter of seeing what I wanted to see because I would've liked it a little better if they had some in-game callbacks/throwbacks/repeats/remakes/whatevers.
: Lack of new challenge. You can take all your skills from Reach and prior and
: finish Halo 4. There simply aren't any new techniques to master.
pretty much :/
: The new enemies are killed the same way as the old ones.
to be fair, you could always kill any enemy with any attack (although for some the time it took was ridiculous)
: The new weapons work the same way as the old ones.
I don't know how much they could do at this point without looking like they're ripping off other games. (I was going to add "and without defying the laws of physics" there, but "hard light" seems like it already is)
: I might be trying the new spartan ops, but I have no HD space so I have no
: way to play them.
Did you try a USB stick?
: I do not think the Halo formula is stale; I think the design and imagination
: of the games is stale.
/: hard to disagree there... it's not easy to really agree either, but it's hard to disagree
